How to be a host

The first thing you need to do is sign up.

Maybe you are already looking forward to the first visitors from other nations. So add your campsite now. Just click on Add a Campsite and enter the address where other members can put up their tent for one night.

This could be a field, a sports ground or just a small piece of your garden. You don't have to let anyone into your house, if you don't want to.

So it's really not a big deal! You just need to offer some water and a piece of lawn, not much more. Anything else is optional and is completely up to you.

Try to find a nice name for your campsite. You might also want to describe your campsite a bit.

Of course you can skip this step and do this later.

As soon as your account has been verified, your campsite will be moved to the verified campsite section (Find a Campsite).

There your details will be fully accessible to you. You can correct the position of the marker if it's not showing up correctly or you can add some additional information. You can also upload up to 6 pictures of your campsite.

You can also choose if other members are allowed to just come around or need to notify you first. So you won't have to accomodate someone, if you really can't at the moment or if you have a bad feeling about them.

Hey but of course no guest should be denied just because you are having a bad day.

If necessary you could even set up your own campsite rules or define the best time for check in. If you enjoy being hospitable, you could of course enlarge your campsite. How about a firepit? You could even earn some money by selling food or maps of trails. You could offer some firewood, fuel or gas cartridges.

There is no limit to your imagination! Grow your campsite into a real outdoor base or outpost for nature loving people and become internationally known and favored.

If you really like being visited by foreign people from all over the world and enjoy having a nice campfire together with them, you might want to found a second campsite. You could also join up with friendly campsites in your neighborhood and found a TRIBE.

A TRIBE is a union of at least 3 campsites that meet a few minimum requirements. A TRIBE gives you the opportunity to accept TRIBE members, that haven't got their own campsite.
